意思

平常我們說的某人很會用lip service，實際上指他們只是說一套做一套，並不會把自己所說付諸行動。

聖經舊約里提到，上帝看到世人單奉他的名而沒有付諸實踐時感到很不以為然。在那時，法利賽人很熟悉圣經，他們雖擁有豐富圣經知識，為信徒制定嚴格條例，內里卻是偽君子。他們教世人愛人如己，但自己卻沒有實踐上帝的愛。上帝通過以賽亞這位先知道出了他的失望, “主說，因為這百姓親近我，用嘴唇尊敬我，心卻遠離我。他們敬畏我，不過是領受人的吩咐。”（以賽亞書29：13）
